TV IN THE WAITING ROOM

I appreciate the guest post, Lindsay Valdez.

I got my boss to look into Direct tv packages. I have been begging him for years to get television. I would love to have it in the break room and I also think that it would be nice to have a television in the waiting room that patients could watch the news while they were waiting to be seen. I know that it would be a good move to put a tv in the break room, because I think that people would just stay at work, take a shorter lunch hour, and be more productive. I hate to admit it too, but we are usually running behind with patients, its just the nature of the business because there is really no way to gage how long a patient will need to be seen. I think that having a television in the waiting room would be a good way to distract patients from the time and thinking about how long they are having to wait for their appointments. I know that it sounds sneaky, but keeping people happy is key to things running smoothly. I think that I have convinced him! I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn’t change his mind.
