The Story follows the life of Giselle Carriton, who moved to Opelousas as a war bride in 1946 from Paris. Some years later she moved to Lafayette to start her own nightclub downtown Lafayette called "Chez Gisele".
The cabaret world of Chez Gisèle draws the audience into a time when life was simpler and more carefree. The story evokes tenderness of the heart that is rare. The attitude of grace,which is Gisèle’s legacy is still evolving today.
