LAFAYETTE, LA – The Pulitzer Prize winning Dinner with Friends will be performed at Cité des Arts, running August 30 - September 8, 2013 (7:30pm Thursdays-Saturdays, & Sundays 2:00pm

In 2000, Donald Margulies wrote Dinner with Friends, a humorous and stirring reflection on his own life at the time. “All around us, relationships are changing... It's those notions of impermanence, the yearning for something else that I'm tapping into.'' In his Pulitzer Prize winning play, Karen and Gabe (a long-time married couple) have two things in common: their borderline-obsessive love for gourmet cooking and their love for best friends, Tom and Beth. The four have carved out a perfect life together, but can they survive perfection? When plans change for one of them, life changes for everyone. Thoughtful, sweet, funny and provoking, Dinner With Friends has touched audiences around the world for simple reasons. The characters are real, they are normal, they are people we know and they are exactly like us. The Lauren-Reilly Eliot Company’s production features Katryn Schmidt, Theresa Wasiloski, Scott Gremillion and Cooper Helm.
