BACKPACK JAX / KLP A NEW ARTISTIC COLLABORATION KIP and Backpack Jax are two of Western France's most recognized Hip Hop entities, hailing from the city of Nantes. Ambassadors of their culture, each in their respective disci- plines, their strong identities, innovative creativity and restless grind have continuously opened doors for them to the international scene. In 2013, they're combining their artistic visions and skills with their production of a brand new collaborative creation : an exclusive show featuring an explosive mix of breakdance and soulful music, poised to rock venues and crowds across the globe. An organically inspired Hip Hop exchange, full of feeling, rhythm, rhymes, style, moves, beats, breaks, melodies and good vibes! It's in United States where this project will be born in May 2013, from Washington to New Orleans, from Saint Martin- ville to Miami... This project is supported by the French institute, the Pays de la Loire Region, the Loire Atlantique Departement, the City of Nantes, Nantes Metrop8le, the French Alliance in Washington, the French Embassy in New York (Cultural Service), the French Consulate in New Orleans, the French Consulate in Miami, The City of Saint-Martinville.

BACKPACK JAX Al Green & Lauryn Hill's lovechild, Backpack Jax are an inter- national Hip Hop group based in France. Children of political refugees, Boogie Monsta (Iraqi Frenchman) & Maulkai (Cuban American) are 80's babies from opposite sides of the planet who were born & bred on golden era Hip Hop music.

KLP The KLP dance company was created in 2003 with the ambi- tion of creating shows for theatre, and organizing events to promote Hip-Hop culture. After several successful productions, Sofian Jouini and Brice Bernier, began exploring the uniqueness behind the French Contemporary/Hip Hop art form, which sparked the creation of their highly acclaimed "Insolents Solistes".
