Harvey, a play by Mary Chase, follows the life of Elwood P. Dowd, a charming man who keeps company with a six foot tall, invisible rabbit named Harvey. Elwood introduces Harvey often to friends and is shunned for this action. In a fit of frustrated rage, Elwood's sister Veta admits Elwood into an institution and chaos ensues. Author Mary Chase wrote the piece in 1944 and won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1945. The Tea-Sippers are hoping to attract Acadiana audiences of all ages for a show that can only be described as unforgettable, heartfelt, and charming.

The play is performed, directed, and managed by The Tea-Sippers, a group of students from Lafayette High School, who came together in September 2010 after being cast in a play at Cite Des Arts. A few student actors noticed that there was a free spot in July 2011 on the Cite Des Arts calendar, and they immediately booked the opening and decided that they would put on another play. Meetings for the project progressed to discussions about becoming a formal theatre troupe. Since then, the Tea Sippers have produced nine other productions including Seventy Scenes of Halloween, Bang Bang You're Dead, The Outside, Endgame and The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Marigolds.
