Originally from Venezuela South America Alfonso has
been presenting a series of Dance Workshops
from New York, to Canada and now here in the south of
Louisiana, the workshop is based in the simplicity of the dance, breathing, body
movement and foot work. in a 4 hours workshop you will learn the basic steps,
promenade, sacadas, back and front 8 and more, which will allow you to dance
practically any type of music in the tango style.
Tango is known as the most romantic and passionate dance
style, dazzling footwork and dramatic moves. Tango is a beautiful
metaphor for a conscious relationship and life itself – on and off the dance
floor. By celebrating masculine and feminine energies, Tango
facilitates healing of the age-old struggle between genders, and becomes a
powerful teacher of LIFE itself
The Healing Tango workshop is open to the public for a fee of
$120 and runs for 4 weeks; one hour a week. The workshop will culminate with a
performance in a private seating with family and friends.
The course includes sessions on introduction to rhythms:
tango, milonga and vals; embrace and connection; walk forwards and backwards;
musicality; intro to Basic tango step, forward and backwards Ochos, left turn,
right turn, Lapiz, Open Fan, Running Step.
Classes are no more than 3 couples or less.
