We all have those moments, where we go, "Ahh, that was so worth it.". You know those feel good moments. We all have those difficult moments that turn into great moments. Of course, it is always nice to have those great moments without having to go through difficult times. Allstate is promoting their Allstate Good Life. Where you don't have to wait for those difficult moments to enjoy some good moments.
It was so nice last weekend. My husband was not as excited about it in the beginning, like I was. There were too many things to prepare. See we went to a National Speech Tournament in Philadelphia with 10 of his students. It is always stressful and action packed weekend. He has worked with the students all year preparing them for Nationals. Thankfully the kids were well behaved and prepared for the weekend.
However, the weekend did not start out that great. We got a call the night before that one of our judges was spitting up blood and would not be able to go. You have to bring a certain amount of judges with you. Then our first flight was running late. We finally made it there, and then had to grab several taxis to the hotel. The hotel was great. We finally got everyone settled down or so we thought.
My daughter was flying in from Jackson and didn't arrive until midnight. I went to go meet her and found one of our students in the elevator. He was suppose to be in his room. So, then we had to do room checks again. We got to bed around 1am. We spent Friday sightseeing in the rain and cold. Not as much fun as it could've been. Then Saturday and Sunday were spent at the comptetiion.
Unfortunately, one of our students got sick and how to drop out. Here comes the good part though. One of our students broke (made it to the next round). She actually came out 19th in the nation. It really was worth all of the hard work that everyone put in. My husband got to have one of those rare Good Life Moments for a coach.
Enjoy those wonderful moments in your life whether or not you have to go through a difficult time beforehand. Check out the clip below about the Good Life.
