An Afternoon with the Hubby

I got to spend the afternoon with my hubby, today.  We rarely get alone time doing something we want to do.  Sure, we spend a lot of time together cleaning, working in the yard, and with the kids.  However, it is so nice to go do something fun (and not even spend any money). 

When my husband came in this morning after working in the yard, he asked me if I wanted to go on a picnic.  Wait.  What is that?  I seem to recall from a long time ago what a picnic was like, ha ha.  Well, sure I would love to go.  We then started fixing tuna sandwiches, sliced cucumbers, watermelon, and kool-aid.  I even made sure to grab the stale bread.

We got to the park, and it was just so nice to sit there and relax and not worry about anything.  We ate under the gazebo overlooking the pond.  We fed the fish, ducks, and a nutria rat the stale bread.  After we finished, we loaded things back in the car, then took a walk around the pond.  There are so many little baby ducks right now.  They are so cute.  Some of them reminded me of my daughter's little yellow rubber duckies.

What did you do today?  I hope you had a great day.  I loved mine.  It was nice and relaxing, even if it was a little hot.  It is always a good day when I get to spend some quality time with the hubby.
