Practical Money Skills

There has been a push lately to educate children on how to handle money and finances.  Children seem to get out of school with all kinds of book smarts but not much on practical skills.  I always wished I was taught more on money matters.  You do not wake up one day with this knowledge.  It needs to be taught.

Now there is a place to find educational materials on financial matters.  You can download free CD-ROMs on practical money skills that will attract and excite students.  There are games and information for all students:  preschool, elementary, high school, and special needs.  All students need to learn life skills.  Check out these games.  There is Financial Soccer, Financial Football, Countdown to Retirement, Smart Money Quiz Show, etc.  Teachers can find a variety of lesson plans, too.
